Yoga for Health

Reuniting Body, Breath & Mind

Namaste

Welcome to the practice and philosophy of Yoga for Health

I love Yoga, and believe this traditional practice is so right for our time.

By practising even the basics of Asana (postures) Pranayama (breathing techniques), relaxation and meditation, we better understand ourselves.

The Yoga we practice on the mat provides a foundation for life off the mat.

If you practice with an open mind and heart, the wisdom and knowledge you tap into is your own. From that source there is clarity for the mind, support for the emotions, and stimulation for the body’s own healing energy.

Hello, I’m Jan; Janette Larrington-Lewer I enjoy and practice all aspects of Yoga. I love sharing this passion, which is why I have taught Hatha Yoga classes in the suburbs of Napier since 2004.

My timetable of classes offers four morning classes and four evening classes each week.   Although Yoga is an individual practice, there is something supportive about practising in a friendly class environment. While some classes are ‘graded’; classes are suitable for all levels because I encourage the practice to be led from the feeling body, i.e. tuning in to how you feel, and what you need from each session.

Please read some of the testimonials.

Come and join me; ease yourself into mobility, flexibility and longevity.

Every ‘body’ is different – what suits one ‘body’ may not suit another.

Yoga accepts these differences and works with them.

We explore options, variations and adapt to suit individual needs.

We practice flexibilities, yoga Asana (postures), Pranayama (breathing techniques), flow sequences, relaxation, meditation, and Yoga philosophy.
