Winter Balance

When we come together again in July we will be immersed in the energy of Winter. While we need a yoga practice to warm and strengthen us – we also need to incorporate the natural desire to nurture and reflect.   What a marvellous combination to work with.  The opportunity to work the big standing physical poses – the ones that help us stand our ground and utilize the strength and flexibility of the back and legs to support and encourage us.  Support and Encourage? Yes the effects of poses such as the ‘Warrior’ clan, can be internal and external and relate to practice on the mat and life off the mat. Additionally, we have the opening backbends for their warming effect.  To balance these bold poses, our Yoga practice gifts us with the blissful offering of deep relaxation.
