According to a variety of sources …..Resilient means………. the power or ability to return to the original form or the ability to recover from…………..

The definition that really appealed to me “Resilience is adaptation in the face of adversity”                                                                               (

 It’s the word Adaptation…………..being able to adapt and respond; to intuitively know when to stand firm, when and how to change, and when to move on.

Where will that come from and how will you know?  Because right there in the centre of you is the ability to be present in the moment; to be steady and strong and go deeper to the inner source of your strength and wisdom, then acting from trust.

What has Resilience got to do with Yoga?  For our Winter practice we turn to the Warrior clan of poses – we can allow the Warriors to teach us resilience.
