Moving On
When the safe ‘consistent’ practice is no longer required, it will change of its own accord.
Several things may change at once, perhaps move your mat to another setting, practice at a different time of day or evening, the need to play music, light candles and/or incense …………….whatever feels right and comfortable and respectful of the self. Sometimes I find that music is both lifting and inspiring. Music is a very personal choice, some Yogi’s frown upon it. I utilize it as another tool in the yoga basket.
Lie on your mat with the legs long, or the knees bent and allow yourself to be very comfortable. Remain still for 5 – 10 minutes.
And wait……….
Not waiting for the brain to say go……………..just wait……………the body will begin to move when it feels ready. Come back to the breath, come into the moment, and move when the breath ques the body to do so. It usually happens after a big sigh.
